Swanage Literary Festival is a Community Interest Company bringing the joy of literature to the local community through a diverse programme of literary events and activities.
The festival creates opportunities for local schools, residents, businesses and community groups to take part and connect with a wide range of authors, poets, storytellers and historians. Its aim is to encourage participation, inspire curiosity and help people of all ages develop their literary experiences and enjoyment.
The festival’s main event takes place in November at The Mowlem, adding to Swanage’s calendar of events and helping attract visitors to the town beyond the traditional holiday season.
Celebrating books, stories and the people who bring them to life, Swanage Literary Festival is proud to make literature a vibrant part of community life in Swanage.
