Owned by the National Railway Museum\, this iconic locomotive has captured the imagination of generations and its visit promises to be one of the highlights of our anniversary year. \nWhether you’re a lifelong railway enthusiast\, a family looking for a memorable day out\, or simply keen to experience a piece of railway history\, there will be plenty of opportunities to enjoy this very special event. \nAcross the ten-day visit\, Flying Scotsman will be on static display on selected dates\, allowing visitors to admire the locomotive up close and take in every detail of this engineering masterpiece. On other days\, it will be hauling passenger trains along the full Swanage Railway line between Swanage\, Harman’s Cross\, Corfe Castle and Norden\, offering the unforgettable experience of travelling behind one of Britain’s greatest steam locomotives. \nStatic display days will take place on 23\, 26\, 27\, 30 and 31 October\, while steam-hauled passenger services will operate on 24\, 25\, 28\, 29 October and 1 November. \nBookings for this highly anticipated event will open in mid-July\, with a range of ticket options available.
